Mission Statement
Toback Podiatry provides total foot health care as it relates to the human body and its many systemic conditions. The goal is to keep the people of the Hudson Valley on their feet, pain free.
At Toback Podiatry, we believe that each patient deserves to be treated as an individual, not as a number or statistic. Our physicians spend quality time with each of their patients in order to diagnose and prevent foot disorders. This attention allows them to better understand each patient’s needs, and to recommend the best course of treatment. We work closely with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure the most effective treatment plan and keep your physician informed of your progress. The doctors, along with our team of nurses and office personnel, strive to achieve the highest quality level of personalized, comprehensive foot care.

Promising New Treatment for Fungus-Free Feet An Alternative to Topical and Oral Treatments Says It Can Kill Fungus Instantly
About Toback Podiatry
Board-certified foot surgeon, Tracey G. Toback, DPM brings the most advanced, affordable technologies in podiatry to the heart of the Hudson Valley, along with Poughkeepsie. He was the first in New York to introduce the PinPointe laser for the treatment of embarrassing – and sometimes painful – yellow discolored fungus nails (onychomycosis), a problem from which 50 percent of Americans over the age of 40 suffer. “Previously, there were over-the-counter and prescription topical medicines to treat the problem, but even the best ones had only an 8 percent success rate and the oral medication often produced many unwanted side-effects,” he explains. “In contrast, the PinPointe laser is a one-time, 30-minute treatment that requires no anesthesia, has no side effects, and is not painful. A clinical trial conducted in California showed an 88 percent success rate.”
A graduate of the New York College of Podiatric medicine, Dr. Toback continued as a professor at the college. He initially learned from and was inspired by his father, also a podiatrist. “As a student, I realized what a difference he could make in a patient’s quality of life,” he recalls. “Sometimes the change was very quick or simple, but I would see people – patients who he treated like members of his extended family – come in with a limp and walk out virtually pain-free.”
Taking a cue from his father, Dr. Toback is proactive in his approach to treating patients of all ages suffering from foot problems that stem from biomechanical faults – such as heel spurs, high arches, or flat feet – or problems that develop in response to diseases like diabetes. Each treatment plan is tailored to the best interest of the patient, and can range from conservative but highly-effective custom-made orthotics to the most advanced surgeries. Toback Podiatry features in-office technology including weight-bearing X-rays to identify the misalignment of the bones in the foot. No matter the procedure, Dr. Toback involves his patients in their care.
“I love to teach and take the time to have my patients understand the how and why of their foot care.”
